GREENE COUNTY CAREER CENTER STUDENTS TO HEAR

PERSONAL FINANCE TIPS FROM OHIO DIVISION OF SECURITIES SPEAKER

Wednesday's Presentation Is Part Of Saving And Investing Education Week

Michael Quinn, an attorney with the Ohio Division of Securities Enforcement Section, will discuss personal finance topics with students at the Greene County Career Center, 2960 Enon Road, Xenia, on Wednesday, April 28. He will make four presentations to a total of 150 students between 8:15 a.m. and noon.

Governor Bob Taft has proclaimed the week of April 25-May 1 as Saving And Investing Education Week. The week, which is being recognized in more than 20 countries, is designed to encourage consumers to save, invest wisely, and protect themselves against fraudulent schemes. This year's campaign is focusing on young people, particularly high school students who are beginning to form their saving and investing habits.

Mr. Quinn will discuss reasons for and various types of investing, how and why securities markets are regulated, and how individuals can protect themselves against fraud.
