OHIO DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE CHARTERS
BUCKEYE COMMUNITY BANK IN LORAIN
Gary C. Suhadolnik, director of the Ohio Department of Commerce, announced today the opening of Buckeye Community Bank as Ohios newest state-chartered bank. Buckeye Community Bank opened today at 9 a.m. at 105 Sheffield Center, Lorain.
The opening of Buckeye Community Bank marks the tenth state-chartered bank to open for business in Ohio since 1995, said F. Scott O'Donnell, Superintendent of the Ohio Department of Commerce's Division of Financial Institutions. The creation of new banks strengthens Ohios banking industry and provides additional choices for consumers.
Superintendent O'Donnell issued the Certificate of Authority to Commence Business on October 6. The banks president is George Mayer.
