Gary C. Suhadolnik, director of the Ohio Department of Commerce, announced today the opening of Buckeye Community Bank as Ohio’s newest state-chartered bank. Buckeye Community Bank opened today at 9 a.m. at 105 Sheffield Center, Lorain.

“The opening of Buckeye Community Bank marks the tenth state-chartered bank to open for business in Ohio since 1995,” said F. Scott O'Donnell, Superintendent of the Ohio Department of Commerce's Division of Financial Institutions. “The creation of new banks strengthens Ohio’s banking industry and provides additional choices for consumers.”
