CHANGE SMOKE DETECTOR BATTERIES

WHEN CHANGING CLOCKS BACK FROM DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME

 

20 SECONDS

When you change your clocks back to Standard Time on Sunday, October 26, remember to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. This can double your chances of escaping a nighttime fire. This message brought to you by the Ohio Department of Commerce and the State Fire Marshal.

 

30 SECONDS

During the past five years, 10,500 fires occurred in Ohio homes where a smoke detector was present but not working. When you change your clocks back to Standard Time on Sunday, October 26, do yourself a lifesaving favor: Change the batteries in your smoke detectors.
