IN WYOMING, OHIO
New State-Chartered Bank Opened For Business Today
(Columbus)--Donna Owens, director of the Ohio Department of Commerce, announced today the opening of Ohios newest state-chartered bank. Spring Valley Bank opened for business today at 9 a.m. at 1206 Springfield Pike in Wyoming.
I am always pleased to see the creation of community banks such as Spring Valley Bank, said Director Owens. The creation of new banks not only demonstrates the strength of Ohio's banking industry, but also increases the number of banking options open to Ohio's citizens.
Ohio Superintendent of Financial Institutions W. Curtis Stitt issued the Certificate of Authority to Commence Business on Friday, August 29. The chief executive officer of the community bank is President Robert M. Ahrens. Spring Valley Bank is the second state-chartered bank to open in Hamilton County within the past 18 months. Anderson Bank Company in Cincinnati opened on March 25, 1996.
