OHIO DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE CHARTERS THE GUERNSEY BANK
Ohio Superintendent of
Financial Institutions F. Scott O’Donnell yesterday visited Ohio’s newest
state-chartered bank -- The Guernsey Bank, Worthington, at 547 High Street. While a new state-chartered bank, The
Guernsey Bank has been a financial institution in Ohio since 1902. Prior to becoming a state-chartered
bank, it was a federal savings bank.
"The Guernsey Bank continues
to provide another banking option for central Ohioans," said Superintendent of
Financial Institutions F. Scott O’Donnell.
The bank opened under its new charter on Saturday, June 15.
According to its
application, The Guernsey Bank will be a commercial bank. Superintendent O'Donnell issued the
Certificate of Authority to Commence Business on Friday, June 14. The bank’s Chairman and President
is Robert D. Patrella and its Executive Vice President is David B.
Erickson.
