OHIO DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE CHARTERS THE GUERNSEY BANK

Ohio Superintendent of Financial Institutions F. Scott O’Donnell yesterday visited Ohio’s newest state-chartered bank -- The Guernsey Bank, Worthington, at 547 High Street.  While a new state-chartered bank, The Guernsey Bank has been a financial institution in Ohio since 1902.  Prior to becoming a state-chartered bank, it was a federal savings bank.

"The Guernsey Bank continues to provide another banking option for central Ohioans," said Superintendent of Financial Institutions F. Scott O’Donnell.  The bank opened under its new charter on Saturday, June 15.

According to its application, The Guernsey Bank will be a commercial bank.  Superintendent O'Donnell issued the Certificate of Authority to Commence Business on Friday, June 14.   The bank’s Chairman and President is Robert D. Patrella and its Executive Vice President is David B. Erickson.
