As of 3 p.m. today, there was no new information regarding the cause of explosion.
Investigators were expected to complete more interviews of witnesses and victims today, as well as turn over information collected so far to the State Fire Marshal's Code Enforcement Section. At this juncture, they are specifically working to determine if the proper distances from the mortar to the crowd were observed, whom the shooter's assistants were and if they were properly registered, whether the devices involved were properly secured, and whether the devices functioned as they were designed to.
