DEBBIE DYE JOYCE APPOINTED OHIO’S COMMISSIONER OF SECURITIES

Director of Commerce Gary C. Suhadolnik has appointed Debbie Dye Joyce as Commissioner of Securities. Ms. Dye Joyce had been serving as Acting Commissioner since June 5.

She succeeds Thomas E. Geyer who was promoted to Assistant Director of the Ohio Department of Commerce.

Ms. Dye Joyce most recently served as chief of the Registration Section in the Division of Securities since 1996. She has served at Commerce since 1986 in a variety of roles. Initially, she served as an Attorney Examiner for the division. She then became Chief Counsel for the former Division of Savings and Loan Associations/Savings Banks in 1989.

"Debbie has a thorough knowledge of the Ohio securities industry," said Director Suhadolnik. "With more than 10 years of legal and administrative experience, she will be an outstanding Securities Commissioner."

Ms. Dye Joyce received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University and her Juris Doctorate from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. She resides in Hebron.
