SOME MANUFACTURERS ARE NOT COOPERATING AS WE’VE ASKED SO WE’RE FALLING FURTHER BEHIND ON REVIEWS….EXPECT REVIEW TIMES 10-14 WORKING DAYS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE……PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
Until further notice (until we can get our review time down to 5 days) we will be only reviewing applications related to projects under contract destined for Ohio citizens (this does not mean dealer stock). After you complete the application process with document upload & fee payment and receive the project number by email from us, please send a return email to EPLANS indicating the name and address of the Ohio project. We will be auditing the accuracy of the information and, if it is determined that the projects are not valid, we will hold the application until all other projects have been completed for all other manufacturers.
This policy change has been made necessary by some manufacturers delaying their code update submittals and sending in unnecessary applications and will continue until we catch up.
As of Jan. 31, 2008 we are caught up with our reviews and are only a few of days out with both new applications and resubs. In order to prevent another backlog of reviews and delayed approvals please do not wait until April to send in designs with 2008 NEC updates. Please read the “NEC 2008 Web MEMO” listed below, and study and apply it’s attached outline. More timely reviews can be performed if NEC updates are submitted now or substantially before April. We also can not provide a timely turnaround during a code update cycle if drawings for projects with no Ohio buyers are submitted – the previous code update cycle’s policy of requiring the name and address of the Ohio project, and auditing of this information, will apply.
